AI Construction Robots Enter Construction Sites: Feng Chia University Wins the Common Creation Model Award in the USR Industry Category by Global Views

Feng Chia University has won the 2025 6th Global Views USR University Social Responsibility Award in the "Industry Common Creation Group" category with its "Construction Automation: AI Construction Robots" project. It is the only university in Taiwan to receive this honor for smart construction and AI technology. The project, led by Associate Professor Yu-Ting Sheng from the School of Architecture, focuses on the urgent needs of the construction industry for labor shortages and industrial upgrades. It not only demonstrates the innovative power of academic research and development but also serves as a model for the successful implementation of AI technology, precisely addressing industry pain points.

How would you describe your four years of college life after graduation?

When I was in high school, I thought everything would be easy after I went to college. There was no fixed class eight in the morning to five in the evening, and there were no piles of exam papers and handouts. But is college really that easy? Four years of life are no longer planned, and all the time can only be managed by yourself. Compared with "relaxation", "elasticity and freedom" may be a better annotation for these four years. In the limited four years, you can learn to use time, decide what kind of life to live, what major to study, and what kind of person to become.
